For those who are yet to register for their NIN, you can visit the NIMC enrolment centers or your preferred network provider centers to register your National Identification Number.

Here’s a quick guide to registering for NIN:

1. Fill up the NIMC pre-enrolment form online by visiting Pre Enrolment Portal, and download and print Pre Enrolment Slip.
2. Submit your application at the nearest NIMC Registration Centre.

3. Note: A fee of N20 applies.

How to Link Your NIN to MTN:
If you’re an MTN user, follow these steps:
1. Copy your 11-digit NIN number.2. Dial *785*Your 11-digit NIN number#.

Follow these steps:
1. Dial *346#.
2. Select “NIN retrieval”.

How to Link Your NIN to Airtel:

This method works for both phones with internet access and those without. To link your NIN to your Airtel number via USSD, follow these steps:

1. For this method, you may need your Virtual NIN (VNIN), so have it ready. If you don’t have a VNIN, dial *346*NIN*121097#
2. Once you have your VNIN, dial *996# and select option 2 “Submit NIN/VNIN”.
3. Enter your NIN/VNIN into the space provided and submit.
4. Airtel will display a message stating that you will receive a confirmation SMS.

 

How to Check Your NIN Using a Glo SIM Card:
To retrieve your NIN using a Glo SIM card:
1. Dial *346#.
2. Select “NIN retrieval” and a message will display showing your NIN digits

How to Link Your NIN to a Glo SIM Card:
For Glo users:
1. Copy your 11-digit NIN number.
2. Send “UPDATENIN, your 11-digit NIN number, first name, and Last name” to 109.
3. Alternatively, dial *109* your 11-digit NIN number#.
